Southern Dance Festival aims to raise money for children less fortunate than ourselves, and to assist young dancers to obtain stage experience in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Southern Dance Festival is a non-profit organisation that started from humble beginnings in a venue in Bentleigh.
The Festival outgrew this and other small locations. We have been at Carwatha College since 1994.
The committee are a dedicated group of people who work hard and freely give up their time to put together a dance festival of quality that we hope will be a rewarding and enjoyable experience for all concerned.
The committee works to keep costs down and is very proud that all proceeds of this festival go to charity.
In 2007, we welcomed YMCA Victoria as our charity. Since that time, the committee has been thrilled to be able to donate over $100,000 to this very worthy cause.
